Politicians Are Making the Border Crisis Worse With One Unspeakable Act

ICE

The crisis on the southern border continues to ail the United States.

Lax border security is an issue that must be addressed.

And politicians are making the border crisis worse with one unspeakable act.

The American people continue to get more unfettered illegal immigration even though they vote against it every chance they get.

Democrats used to understand that illegal immigration caused several problems including encouraging lawlessness, straining governmental resources, and putting downward pressure on low-skill labor wages.

In 1995, Bill Clinton got a standing ovation for a State of the Union address that was hawkish on the issue of border security.

Even far-left Senator Dianne Feinstein was a border hawk.

Activists like Jesse Jackson and labor organizer César Chavez used to protest at the border against illegal immigration.

Chavez and his acolytes even went so far as to beat up illegal aliens for fear that they might become scab workers.

But the strategy changed when the donor class realized they could get cheap labor, and Democrat politicians realized they could import new voters.

U.S.-born children of immigrants tend to vote Democrat 80% of the time, and with upwards of 20-30 million illegal aliens in the country, that’s a sizable voting bloc.

While that 80% number normalizes over several generations, that’s not being allowed to happen because more waves of immigrants are coming in without being properly assimilated.

And the Democrats are actively making the problem worse.

ICE has been forced to seek subpoenas in order to get information from law enforcement in sanctuary cities about criminals set for deportation.

Henry Lucero, acting Deputy Executive Associate Director for ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations, said in a statement, “Like any law enforcement agency, we are used to modifying our tactics as criminals shift their strategies, but it’s disheartening that we must change our practices and jump through so many hoops with partners who are restricted by sanctuary laws passed by politicians with a dangerous agenda.”

Democrats are actively working against ICE and law enforcement on behalf of criminals.

Some politicians even tip off people about impending ICE raids.

While liberals argue that sanctuary cities make the community safer, ICE targets are often violent felons who prey on the community.

For example, ICE recently sought an illegal alien from Guyana who was accused of sexually assaulting and murdering a 92-year-old woman in Queens.

The man previously had been released under New York’s sanctuary policies.

And that story is not unique.

Sanctuary policies are providing cover for dangerous criminals.

Democrats don’t seem to care one bit.

They want their votes, and they want their media narrative that Donald Trump is rounding people up like it’s 1930s Germany.

Meanwhile, the citizens, particularly the most vulnerable in these so-called sanctuary communities, are made less safe by these policies.

And at the federal level, Democrats in Congress refuse to act.

They won’t release funding to build a border barrier to deter illegal crossings, and they won’t vote to reform our broken immigration system.
