The United States is more susceptible than ever to a dangerous outbreak.
Several cities have experienced a rise in infectious disease cases.
But America isn’t prepared for one deadly virus that could already be here.
The Ebola virus is a deadly disease with a mortality rate ranging from 25% to 90%, killing about half the people infected on average.
Multiple outbreaks have ravaged parts of Africa, and now Ebola could be coming to America as a result of the ongoing border crisis.
According to Customs and Border Patrol (CBP), 116 illegal aliens from Angola, Cameroon, and Congo were detained after attempting to illegally cross the southern border.
The Democratic Republic of the Congo—which neighbors and shares a coastline with the Republic of the Congo—is in the midst of an Ebola virus, so carriers of the disease could very well be in the U.S. already.
The World Health Organization (WHO) recently confirmed 1,851 cases of Ebola in the DRC with 1,208 deaths, a mortality rate approaching 70%.
Since the end of May, more than 500 African migrants have been detained at border ports, and many of them are already in San Antonio.
CBP Commissioner John Sanders recently spoke on the nature of the illegal immigration crisis more broadly.
“When we have 4,000 people in custody, we consider it high,” he said during a press conference.
“If there’s 6,000 people in custody, we considered it a crisis. Right now, we have nearly 19,000 people in custody. So it’s just off the charts.”
In May alone, nearly 150,000 illegal aliens arrived at the southern border.
Yet the Democrats and their media allies continue to rip Donald Trump for declaring a national emergency on the southern border.
Law enforcement is entirely overwhelmed, resources are strained, and they’re not equipped to handle a lethal infectious disease like Ebola.
Roughly 2,000 detainees from Mexico and Central America were quarantined by ICE for diseases like mumps.
Ebola brings an entirely different level of concern.
One has to wonder how destitute African migrants are coming all the way to the U.S. southern border through Mexico.
Nobody knows definitively, but some journalists have embedded with migrant caravans traveling from Central America, and they’ve reported that activist organizations are spearheading the coordinated effort.
Globalists and enemies of the United States are actively trying to strain the broken immigration system and possibly unleash a deadly pandemic on the country for political gain.
This is a serious matter that puts Americans at risk, but the Democrats are more concerned with scoring cheap political points by attacking Trump and ignoring the policy.
We need border security more than ever.
Until Congress takes serious action, do your best to prepare accordingly.
Make sure you have enough food, water, power, and medical supplies to withstand a quarantine if it comes to that.
Sadly, if the handling of infectious disease outbreaks in Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, and other Democratic strongholds, quarantine protocol might become a reality.
