The rioting and looting since the murder of George Floyd have gotten completely out of hand.
There’s carnage in the streets of cities all across the country.
Now one city has descended into chaos and cops are asking for one thing.
It’s no coincidence that the most tolerant countries get blasted for being the most intolerant; ironically, tolerant countries are the only ones who allow themselves to be criticized.
This contradiction is most stark when “woke” feminists claim that the United States is more dangerous for women than countries like Iran – a country where women are literally beaten or imprisoned for not wearing a hijab in public.
The same goes for tolerant institutions and cities.
Progressive American universities get hit with being bigoted because they’re soft targets and the accusers know they’ll be rewarded for going after them.
Even rioters and looters get a free pass.
Some have tried dismissing the political violence as Russian interference.
But America is witnessing that right now in cities like Seattle, where far-left activists and protesters have seized six blocks downtown, first calling the area the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ).
The communists then changed the name to Capitol Hill Organized Protest, or CHOP, a direct reference to the widespread decapitations during the French Revolution.
Needless to say, CHOP has descended into utter chaos – even quicker than Occupy Wall Street.
Those protesters were at least furious over the bank bailouts, although they failed to realize they should’ve gone after the politicians who made it happen.
CHOP has become a graffiti-ridden hellscape surrounded by barricades and armed guards.
These communists quickly turned into border hawks, it seems.
Worse yet, crime has soared. Police Chief Carmen Best was ordered by far-left Mayor Jenny Durkan to stand down and allow the precinct to be overrun.
Chief Best said response times for 911 calls in the area went from five minutes up to 18 minutes because of the barriers and hostility toward law enforcement.
Now CHOP has suffered two murders and the rape of a deaf woman – finally triggering Seattle’s police union president Michael Solan to speak out against the madness.
During an interview on Fox News, Solan said, “Early this morning, that violence was raw and real where one of our community members lost their life, and police are still not allowed into that area and were prevented from providing that police service to the area to locate victors and/or render aid. [It’s] very troubling what’s going on.”
EMTs are not allowed to assist until an area has been cleared by police officers first.
This is done for the safety of EMTs, who have been ambushed by people trying to steal medicine and other supplies.
Solan continued, “It can’t stand in America, and this is a direct result of city leadership, elected officials failing the reasonable community of Seattle to enforce the rule of law…And, this just isn’t the area occupied in a six-block zone where police are still forbidden and still don’t have their East precinct. This is now impacting our entire city.”
Ironically, Mayor Durkan was quick to enforce draconian Wuhan virus lockdown orders, but when communists seized six city blocks, called it the “Summer of Love.”
Durkan’s statement is very telling. She and other leftists have spent the past 50 years romanticizing the ‘60s and ignoring all the violence and carnage that took place.
Durkan sits on her hands while her city is razed.
