The entire world is still reeling from the effects of the Wuhan virus.
China has attempted to downplay its role in the spread of the pandemic.
But one official just told the infuriating truth about what China did.
Nearly six million people worldwide have been afflicted with the coronavirus, and over 350,000 have lost their lives.
As global economies slowly try to repair the damage done from the virus-induced lockdowns, China is attempting to absolve itself from all blame.
However, the Chinese Communist Party’s efforts to spread their propaganda are getting pushback.
And now Robert O’Brien, Donald Trump’s National Security Adviser, is telling the frustrating truth about China.
O’Brien appeared on NBC’s “Meet the Press” and said China’s cover-up of the virus was this generation’s Chernobyl.
He said, “The cover-up that they did of the virus is going to go down in history along with Chernobyl…We’ll see an HBO special about 10 or 15 years from now.”
O’Brien was referencing the recent docudrama that detailed the Soviet Union’s failed attempts to cover up the negligence that led to the Chernobyl meltdown in 1986.
The coronavirus that originated in Wuhan either came from a notoriously unsanitary wet market, or escaped from a biohazard lab due to human error.
Either way, the CCP is responsible.
If the virus came from a lab, the CCP has offered zero transparency in terms of foreign countries vetting the lab in question.
If it originated in the wet market, China recently reopened the dubious market.
On top of that, the CCP covered up the existence of the virus by silencing medical professionals and citizen journalists, then sat on the information for six days and allowed it to spread.
China also lied about the virus not being transmittable via human-to-human contact.
That misinformation led to disastrous medical recommendations from health professionals around the world.
Moreover, China profiteered from the virus by selling faulty medical equipment to foreign countries.
No matter what the compliant corporate press says, China’s actions haven’t gone unnoticed.
Businesses are already leaving the country.
It makes no sense to rely on a belligerent foreign country for critical medical supplies.
On the issue of U.S.-China trade relations, NSA O’Brien said, “We want good relations with China and with the Chinese people, but unfortunately, we’re seeing just action after action by the Chinese Communist Party that makes it difficult.”
China has been benefiting from bad trade deals for years.
Now is as good a time as ever for a reset.
O’Brien added, “They unleashed a virus on the world that’s destroyed trillions of dollars in American economic wealth that we’re having to spend to keep our economy alive, to keep Americans afloat during this virus.”
China will have to pay in a significant way for what they’ve done to the world.
