The Wuhan virus has brought out the worst in some politicians.
These big-government petty tyrants are determined to keep the country locked down forever.
But one judge just smacked down a renegade governor over coronavirus policy.
Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer has become the poster child for nanny state governance.
Americans were largely on board with the strict lockdown measures at the onset of the pandemic, but as new medical data brings into question the efficacy of the quarantine orders, citizens are getting restless.
It doesn’t help that 30 million people are now unemployed and trillions of dollars have been lost from the economy.
People are anxious to get back to work.
But Whitmer is determined to keep the state under her thumb.
She’s instituted draconian measures such as barring citizens from traveling to their second home, or forcing mega-stores to shut down entire departments because she’s deemed them “non-essential.”
The so-called mainstream media has provided her cover despite citizens of Michigan protesting at the state house.
However, one judge finally pushed back on Whitmer’s meddlesome policies.
A Michigan judge denied Whitmer’s motion to force a local barber to shut down his shop in response to her executive order.
Karl Manke, the 77-year-old owner of Manke’s Barber & Beauty Shop, won a huge victory for small businesses across the state.
Ironically, the Democrats say they’re concerned about workers, but they’re trying to rob them of their livelihood.
Many small businesses across the country simply won’t recover from the economic damage done by the Wuhan virus.
The Democrats are actually helping big business by bleeding out a lot of their smaller
The question of lockdowns has quickly turned into a partisan divide.
Big-government politicians have exhausted the patience of their constituents.
Now even blue states are being forced to reopen as protests mount.
New York governor Andrew Cuomo has been one of the most notable pro-lockdown politicians, but even he acknowledged that the economy would have to open back up soon.
Cuomo can’t afford to lose any more millionaires, which New York State has been hemorrhaging.
Politicians like Cuomo and Whitmer keep trumpeting “the science” as a justification for their orders, but the science is not backing them up.
Cuomo himself quoted data that showed 66% of new virus cases occurred in the home.
That data, combined with a study showing that UV sunlight kills the virus, makes a compelling case for opening up the country as soon as possible.
Perhaps the worst part about the policies of pro-lockdown politicians is that there’s no plan in place.
Some of them, such as Illinois governor J.B. Pritzker, want to keep the lockdown in place until a vaccine or effective cure can be discovered.
But that could drag on for years.
Barbers and hairstylists have become the frontline soldiers in America’s battle for freedom in a post-virus world.
The American people won’t be subdued forever, and they’ve finally reached their breaking point.
