Health Officials Gave News About the Coronavirus All Have Been Waiting For

Dr. Robert Redfield

Disruption caused by the Wuhan virus has been immense.

People around the world have been starved for good news that will help bring back a sense of normalcy.

And health officials gave news about the coronavirus everyone has been waiting for.

The United States has now seen just under 1.7 million cases of the coronavirus with 98,000 deaths.

The country’s response led to an unprecedented shutdown of the American economy that resulted in nearly 40 million people becoming unemployed.

While petty tyrants like Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer push to keep the country locked down seemingly in perpetuity, the Centers for Disease Control has released guidelines for reopening the country.

CDC director Dr. Robert Redfield, who’s previously appeared on CNN, said the country is ready to begin the process for reopening.

In an interview, Redfield said, “I want to clarify that the community-based transmission, the community-to-community transmission that overwhelmed the public health departments in late February, March, April, that’s really coming down.”

Despite scare tactics from the so-called mainstream media, Redfield’s statement shows that the drastic measures to slow the spread of the virus have brought the country to a point where it can start up the economy again.

This takes the wind out of the sails of Democrats who were looking to extend the lockdowns at least through election season in order to damage Donald Trump.

However, the American people are sick of the oppressive shelter-in-place orders.

Churches, small businesses, and beaches are just some of the locations that have been shut down as a result of the Wuhan virus.

There seems to be this belief among people on the left that remaining shut down simply means people can’t get haircuts.

But 40 million people unemployed will lead to devastating repercussions for the country.

Not only will thousands of businesses permanently close, but deaths of despair will invariably rise.

This has already begun to happen.

Suicides are up as people’s lives have been traumatically disrupted.

The pro-lockdown crowd has preached that people need to “trust the experts.”

The CDC should provide all the expert evidence they need to show that extending the lockdowns any further is at the very least unnecessary, and at worst harmful.

Some medical professionals argue that staying sheltered could actually exacerbate the spread of the virus.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo recently admitted that 66% of new coronavirus cases in his state occurred while people were at home.

Hospitals have actually had to fire or furlough employees because they’re so underpopulated with patients due to the virus.

People who’ve had to postpone “elective” surgeries are suffering the consequences of delaying quality-of-life procedures.

The American people have been more than patient with regards to the drastic lockdown orders.

They did their part in making sure that the healthcare system wouldn’t get overwhelmed.

Now it’s time to recapture some semblance of normalcy.
