Gun Grabbers Just Got One Major Setback

Leftist activists are making a strong push to tighten gun control laws.

Left-leaning jurisdictions around the country have been using creative ways to make an end run around the Second Amendment.

But one state just got a shocking setback on gun control.

California ranks 49th in the Cato Institute’s freedom index on the issue of gun rights.

The deep blue state has no qualms with violating the gun rights of law-abiding citizens.

Gun control activists in the state pushed for an initiative to limit sales on ammunition, enforce background checks on ammo, and ban magazines that hold more than 10 bullets.

Newly-minted Governor Gavin Newsom signed the proposal into law, but it was immediately challenged on grounds of being unconstitutional.

And thankfully, a judge in Southern California agreed with that assessment, decertifying the law.

This is great news for survivalists.

Being able to hunt for food, and defend yourself are foundational concepts for preparedness.

U.S. District Judge Roger Benitez, the man who ruled on the case, aptly stated the right to self defense in his disposition.

He said the California law “turns millions of responsible, law-abiding people trying to protect themselves into criminals.”

This is exactly right.

If you outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns.

That’s a scary proposition for anyone trying to defend himself.

Benitez also referenced incidents where gun owners ran out of bullets while defending their homes against intruders.

This speaks directly to the concern of preppers.

Gun grabbers don’t care that their actions hurt innocent people.

People who’ve adopted a survivalist mindset understand that it’s critically important to be stocked up on supplies at all times, namely ammunition.

Home invasion is a real threat; there are approximately 3.7 million per year.

And one statistic that the gun control activists conveniently ignore is that there are between 500,000 and 3 million instances of firearm self defense each year.

In instances where lethal force is necessary and justified, ten bullets probably won’t cut it.

If multiple invaders break into your home, and they’re determined to do you harm, you will need more than 10 rounds.

Gun grabbers think it’s like the movies where you can easily shoot a bad guy in the leg or shoulder with one shot, and wait for the police to show up.

Survivalists know better than that.

If you’re in California, or any state that doesn’t value gun rights, it’s a good idea to stock up now.

It will likely only get more difficult to build up a cache of firepower to protect yourself in emergency situations.

Judge Benitez shows that leftists are going to have a fight on their hands if they want to take the country in the direction of full gun confiscation, which would be disastrous for survivalists.

The left doesn’t understand that many people lead self-sufficient lives.

They understand that the government isn’t going to swoop in and save them at every waking moment.

Having a firearm and enough bullets is the difference between life and death for many people.
