A Growing Emergency Is Only Getting Worse Because Of One Bad Policy

National security is the main function of the government, but there are serious problems affecting the population.
Now one growing emergency is getting worse because of one bad policy.
Donald Trump is running the country with one hand tied behind his back.
The Democrats are doing everything to resist him, even if their actions are putting American citizens at risk.
One issue where the Democrats’ reckless behavior is causing serious problems is illegal immigration.
Democrats from Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Dianne Feinstein, and even socialist Bernie Sanders had once been hawkish on immigration.
Clinton’s 1995 State of the Union address on the issue could’ve been given by Trump himself the rhetoric was that similar.
And Barack Obama said illegal immigration had to be curtailed when he first ran for President in 2008.
Left-wing labor activists like Cesar Chavez used to beat-up illegal aliens at the border because they were concerned about union-busting.
But Democrats have completely changed their tune because they realize illegal immigration yields them new voters in the long run.
They’ve gone radical on immigration and they’re literally shielding criminal illegal aliens from being deported.
According to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), these “sanctuary city” policies have caused a decrease in ICE arrests.
Far-left politicians like Oakland mayor Libby Schaaf have even tipped off illegal aliens about ICE raids.
ICE prioritizes illegal aliens who have committed crimes, so these sanctuary policies are literally making communities less safe.
California has become a deep blue state, but even local municipalities are tired of the sanctuary policies.
And yet, while the citizens are telling their politicians they want less illegal immigration and sanctuary policies, they get more of it.
In San Francisco, illegal aliens are now allowed to vote in school board elections.
Democrats also fought to stop Donald Trump from putting a citizenship question on the U.S. census.
Since Congressional districts are apportioned by population, getting an accurate number of legal citizens in the country would hurt Democrats’ congressional power.
Acting ICE Director Matthew Albence has become frustrated with these sanctuary policies.
“Unfortunately, some of our law enforcement partners have chosen not to cooperate with us when we have a unique capability to actually prevent crimes,” said Albence on a conference call with reporters.
Instead of working with ICE to get criminals off the streets, the left has prioritized demonizing ICE agents.
Albence added, “We know that these individuals — if we take them off the street, if we take them out of communities, if we remove them from the country – those are crimes that are not going to be committed that they would have otherwise committed.”
ICE arrests are down 13,000 from last year.
Included among people on ICE deportation lists are alleged murderers, rapists, robbers, and drunk drivers involved in deadly hit-and-run incidents.
That isn’t to suggest that all immigrants are running around committing crimes, but there shouldn’t be any crimes committed by people who are in the country illegally.
