One Terrifying Government Crackdown Is An Omen For Americans

Americans today have no concept of what tyranny looks like.
The main reason why is because of the durability of the U.S. Constitution.
But one scary government crackdown is an omen for Americans.
Protests in Hong Kong are ramping up with no end in sight.
On the 70th anniversary of the communist takeover of China, pro-freedom demonstrations roared in Hong Kong and were met with violence from the police.
Live rounds, tear gas, and water cannons were used on the crowd.
One protester was shot in the chest and another blinded in one eye by a rubber bullet.
Hong Kong residents are fighting to maintain their independence from the communist aggression of mainland China.
An archipelago off the east coast of mainland China, Hong Kong is a densely populated area with over 7 million people.
Hong Kongers are protesting because the communist government of mainland China has slowly been encroaching on their rights.
For over 150 years, Hong Kong had been a British territory that operated under free market principles and grew from a remote fishing outpost to one of the most prosperous regions on the globe.
With the exception of perhaps West and East Germany, Hong Kong versus mainland China is the most striking example of how much better freedom works.
Hong Kong, even with limited natural resources and size, became a thriving economy while mainland China suffered genocide and starvation under communist dictatorship.
In the early 1980s, China threatened to seize Hong Kong if the British didn’t turn over the island-state, and after years of negotiation, they finally ceded control in 1997.
Over the last 22 years, mainland China has looked to gain more control over Hong Kong.
But Hong Kongers cherish their freedom.
In 2014 during the Umbrella Revolution, huge crowds of protesters displayed their disapproval of the communist party’s attempt to essentially handpick candidates in Hong Kong elections.
It’s incredibly difficult to take freedom away from a country’s population.
You have to convince them that giving away their freedom is the right thing to do.
Sadly, that’s what’s happening in the west at a rapid base.
While Hong Kongers are waving the American flag as a symbol of freedom and calling for Second Amendment rights, American citizens are expressing the exact opposite.
American leftists burn the flag and look to repeal gun rights at every turn.
Recently, a video of an American leftist lecturing Hong Kong protesters went viral.
She ignorantly claimed that safety is more important than freedom.
"You guys value freedom more than safety."

This type of thinking is exactly how tyranny occurs and it’s a serious problem in America.
Radical leftists have convinced several generations that collectivist “safetyism” is more important than freedom.
CNN recently ran a headline that expressed anger at the protests for ruining the 70th anniversary of communist rule.
Due to years of indoctrination by leftists, Americans are taking their freedom for granted.
Freedom is fragile and must be defended by every generation.
If even Hong Kongers advocating for free speech and gun rights against communist aggression isn’t enough of a wake-up call to the west, nothing will be.
