Donald Trump Made One Big Move To Repair The Damage Of The Coronavirus

Donald Trump

The Wuhan virus has struck a devastating blow to the United States.

It could take years to undo all of the carnage.

But Donald Trump made a big move to repair the damage of the coronavirus.

Nearly 50,000 Americans have died from the Wuhan virus and the damage to the U.S. economy has been unprecedented.

Not even during the Great Depression did unemployment skyrocket so precipitously.

But Trump and tens of millions of Americans are eager to start their lives again.

With at least 22 million people out of work, people are going to need jobs. That’s why Trump announced a moratorium on immigration.

Trump explained that he didn’t want Americans competing for jobs with immigrants – which makes all the sense in the world unless you’re a globalist or afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Predictably, leftists and pitiful Never-Trump Republicans lost their minds and slammed the move as “racist” and “xenophobic.”

Failed presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke went on an unhinged, profanity-laced rant where he made the regrettable “but who will clean our toilets” argument that got former TV host Sharon Osbourne and actress Amber Heard in trouble.

Among O’Rourke’s ramblings, he said, “Who is picking, preparing, serving the food we eat and cleaning up afterwards?”

This is a tone-deaf argument that completely misses the point of Trump’s immigration order.

Americans should be first in line for all jobs, including the tech jobs that have been going to foreigners due to exploitation of the visa program.

When Trump was asked about the order, he said, “As we all know, millions of Americans sacrificed their jobs in order to battle the virus and save the lives of our fellow citizens…We have a solemn duty to ensure these unemployed Americans regain their jobs and their livelihood…By pausing immigration, we’ll help put unemployed Americans first in line for jobs as America re-opens.”

If the Democrats think that’s a losing message with the American people, they’re in for a huge surprise in November.

Another great irony of the furor over Trump’s order is that these Democrats who want the economy to be shut down also want immigration to continue apace.

If it’s so dangerous to restart the economy, how is it a good idea to bring in thousands of people into a country that’s in the throes of a global pandemic?

Finally, Democrats tried to outflank Trump on the right by suggesting his travel ban with China didn’t go far enough and that perhaps he shouldn’t have allowed American citizens to return to the U.S.

So Democrats want Americans out of the country, but immigrants in.

They’ve completely lost their way, and the voters will let them know in November.
