The Border Crisis Could Get Much Worse After One Crazy Censorship Decision

Mark Zuckerberg

Illegal immigration remains a serious issue for the country.

With the 2020 election heating up, the debate over illegal immigration will spark up again.

But the border crisis could get much worse after one crazy censorship decision.

If there was any doubt left that big media and big tech would do anything to stop Donald Trump in 2020, it’s gone.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg just announced that his platform will ban ads that exhibit “hate speech.”

However, this ever-broadening definition of hate speech now includes any criticism of illegal immigration.

Zuckerberg said, “I am committed to making sure Facebook remains a place where people can use their voice to discuss important issues…But I also stand against hate or anything that incites violence or suppresses voting, and we’re committed to removing that content too, no matter where it comes from.”

Hate speech is a perfect example of concept creep, an academic term for when the definition of something expands to include more and more ideas and instances.

For example, racism has expanded from hurling a racial epithet, to something as broad as genuinely asking someone with an accent, “Where are you from?”

According to CNBC, “Under its new policies, Facebook will ban ads that claim people from a specific race, ethnicity, nationality, caste, gender, sexual orientation or immigration origin are a threat to the physical safety or health of anyone else.”

However, it’s highly unlikely this applies to radical left author Robin DiAngelo, whose book, “White Fragility,” essentially accuses all white people of being complicit in racism and white supremacy by dent of birth.

The book has shot up the bestseller charts without any resistance from the big tech platforms.

But ads that are skeptical about illegal immigration are banned under the growing definition of hate speech.

This is pure election meddling to help the Democrats.

The justification for it is that major sponsors are refusing to advertise on Facebook because of polarization on the platform.

Roughly 100 brands, including giant corporations like Unilever and Verizon, are pulling ads in support of the left-wing #StopHateForProfit campaign.

Illegal immigration is a mainstream issue that concerns all Americans, but under this inane new policy, American citizens aren’t allowed to be informed on unfettered illegal immigration.

Even the left used to acknowledge that illegal immigration put downward pressure on American wages.

Bernie Sanders, an old school communist, made that point in 2015, and has always looked uncomfortable in discussions about open borders and abolishing ICE.

If a far-left socialist has issues with illegal immigration, then the Republican candidate for president should be able to raise concerns.

With the American people less able to see factual information about the horrors of illegal immigration, such as the number of women and young girls who make the trek are sexually assaulted, they won’t be able to make cognizant decisions on the topic.

There are many rational reasons to oppose illegal immigration but Facebook doesn’t want you to know about them.
