In case you wondered if the United States really is a police state, then take a look at this:
66% of all Americans live in a Constitution-free zone.
Yes, you read that right: 66% of Americans.
How can this be? It’s because the Department of Homeland Security, for our own good, has declared that they can ignore the 4th Amendment (against illegal search and seizure) within 100 miles of all U.S. borders, including those borders which touch on ocean.
What this means is that 197 million Americans, including those in major cities such as New York City, Houston, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia, can have their stuff taken at any time by some DHS agent because he feels like it.
Oh, but as redflagnews.com notes.
“[T]he DHS actually reviewed itself and determined that it was acting 100% properly. It also founds that everything it was doing was ‘constitutional’ because it was not actually removing the Constitution from United States soil, only the ‘border’.”
Of course, they may be the only organization that I am aware of that defines the U.S. border as 100 miles from every coast or border with another country.
Utterly ridiculous and scary. Better get your bag ready. Martial law and SHTF can’t be far behind.
