The Obama years in the White House had many people who leaned towards the political right prepping because they were terrified that the collapse of American society was going to happen during his Presidency. While, I admit, I’m pleasantly surprised (and relieved) that we’re still here and in one piece, some people are tempted to relax their prepping efforts on the assumption that a Trump Presidency is going to be smooth sailing.
This is a mistake.
My point here is not to paint either a positive or a negative view of Trump. My point is this: even if Trump does everything right, he may not be able to prevent the economic time bombs that were laid during the last several administrations and the problems with the power grid in America and a variety of other issues that no President (and no government) can prevent or protect us from.
So, when Michael Snyder writes that “interest in prepping is probably the lowest that it has ever been in the history of the modern prepper movement,” this is something to be concerned about because it will be preppers that people can turn to when things get rough (hat tip to here for the quote). If there are no preppers who are ready, what do you think will happen? That’s right; it will be devastating.
In a bizarre twist, it’s people on the left who are stockpiling now that Trump has officially won the election (apparently, they are terrified that a wave of hate crimes are coming. Never mind, how many of the supposed hate crimes have been proven to be hoaxes which were intended to make Trump supporters look bad). Of course, based on the fact that politically liberal people tend to be less generous, this should not be any comfort to you. You need to be ready because you are going to be the person surviving and helping other people.
You need to have your survival garden planted and producing. You need to have a bug out site ready for you to arrive at any time. You need to have your bug out bag and self-defense materials together.
You need to be ready. Because, even if we are spared a disaster situation during Trump’s time in office, that doesn’t mean that it won’t ever happen. If history has shown us anything, it is that, eventually, it will happen.
